Che Fico. You say it, “KAY-fee-koh,” and it’s Italian for “How Cool!” As in, “An iconic Italian red wine that pairs well with earthy pasta dishes? Che Fico!”
Nebbiolo is the grape that is produced into some of the most iconic wines of Italy - Barolo and Barbaresco. Our Che Fico Nebbiolo is a stunning, earthy and soft red that has a haunting, floral nose of rose petals and orange. The palate is bone dry, layered with flavors of strawberry, dried herbs and bright acidity. Lovers of Pinot Noir will love the silky tannins and freshness of this Italian classic.
For this Nebbiolo, grapes were harvested from vines planted 15 years ago in Italy. After harvest, the grapes were immediately crushed and fermented in cement tanks for 6 weeks. The wine then rested on its fine lees before bottling, unfined and unfiltered.
