Grüner Veltliner is a unique grape originally from Austria, and it’s rare to see it outside of Europe, especially in California where this wine is from! Lovers of Pinot Grigio, dry Rieslings, and Sauvignon Blanc will gravitate toward the crisp, dry, earthy notes. Lots of lemon dominate the flavor with subtle notes of white pepper and a very zingy, fresh finish.
We never met a dog we didn’t love. With their wet kisses, wagging tails and the unconditional way they welcome you with excitement, a dog always knows how to make everyone feel like family. You’ll likely find one of these gregarious greeters in the vineyard, delighting workers and visitors alike. This wine is dedicated to our own beloved winery dog, Pip, and we hope it brings you as much joy as she brings to our family.
For this Grüner Veltliner, grapes were hand-harvested from vines planted in Monterey County, California. After harvest, the grapes for this wine were fermented in stainless-steel tanks for 23 days. It was then aged for approximately 7 months before bottling.
DID YOU KNOW? Grüner Veltliner (pronounced GREW-ner velt-LEE-ner) is the national grape of Austria. Known for its notes of citrus and white pepper, it is very high in acid and pairs wonderfully with food.
