It’s no wonder Zinfandel is known as America's grape! This juicy, jammy Zinfandel is full of fruity and bold flavors like black cherry and blackberry jam that come jumping out of the glass, inviting you in for a sip. Beyond the layers of fruit, you'll find notes of mocha, tobacco, and a very fun scent of vanilla spice. Refrigerate for 15 minutes before serving to best bring out the jammy flavors.
Pairs well with barbecue, pizza, burgers, and backyard cookouts.
We never met a dog we didn’t love. With their wet kisses, wagging tails, and the unconditional way they welcome you with excitement, a dog always knows how to make everyone feel like family. You’ll likely find one of these gregarious greeters in the vineyard, delighting workers and visitors alike. This wine is dedicated to our own beloved winery dog, Pip, and we hope it brings you as much joy as she brings to our family.
For this Zinfandel, grapes were hand-harvested from vines planted 12 to 32 years ago in California. After harvest, grapes were crushed and destemmed, then transferred to stainless-steel tanks where they cold-soaked for two days. The wine was then fermented for 14-20 days and allowed to settle. Once settled, this Zinfandel was aged for 9-14 months in redwood and stainless-steel tanks before bottling, unfined, and lightly filtered.
DID YOU KNOW? Zinfandel is grown in more than 10% of the vineyards in California. It has origins in the U.S. back to the mid-19th century but dates even further to related red grape varieties, all the way back to 6000 BC! Zin is related to Primitivo in Southeastern Italy and indigenous grapes in Dalmatia and Croatia.
