Alabama Ordering Instructions
Sweet Home Alabama…What was once a dream is now a reality! We’re shipping into the
Yellowhammer State and couldn’t be more excited about it. So, whether you Roll Tide or War Eagle,
follow these steps to ensure your Scout & Cellar shipping experience into Alabama is a seamless one.
First things first…Shipping into Alabama is different than shipping into any. other. state. Under
Alabama law, Scout & Cellar cannot ship wine directly to customers or consultants. Bummer, right?
But where there’s a will, there’s a way!
To comply with Alabama law, we must ship orders to an Alcoholic Beverage Control Board Store (aka,
ABC Store), where you or your customer can pick up your order and pay the state tax.
Here’s how it works on ScoutandCellar.com
1. Click the Wine tab.
2. Where it says “You’re currently shipping to-United States…, click [change province/state] and
choose Alabama from the drop-down menu.
3. Click “Start Shopping.”
4. Add wine to your cart.
5. Click the cart icon in the top right corner to begin the checkout process.
6. For first-time customers (Welcome, by the way!) create an account.
7. For existing customers or consultants (Thanks for coming back!), login to your account.
8. Choose your payment method.
9. Select an ABC Store near you to use as your shipping address. You can access a full list of ABC
Stores registered with the State here: rebrand.ly/alwine
Please note that store hours may vary.
10. Once you’ve placed your order, you’ll need to download the Shipping Form and
instructions, both downloadable at the end of this article.
11. Fill out the Shipping Form EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED on the companion instruction sheet.
Please note, you may be required to complete multiple sheets based on the size of the
order.
12. Save the Shipping Form to your desktop. Then submit it at scoutandcellar.com/contact with Order Inquiry as your Subject and Alabama Order as your Reason.
Here’s how it works from The Cellar:
1. Before you begin shopping, change your Primary Address to an ABC Store near you. You can
access a full list of ABC Stores registered with the State here: rebrand.ly/alwine

2. Add wine to your cart
3. Click the cart icon in the top right corner to begin the checkout process.
4. Choose your payment method.
5. Once you’ve placed your order, you’ll need to download the Shipping Form located at the end of this article.
6. Fill out the Shipping Form EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED on the companion instruction sheet.
Please note you may be required to complete multiple sheets based on size of order.
7. Save the Shipping Form to your desktop. Then submit it at scoutandcellar.com/contact with your Order number filled in and Order Inquiry and Alabama Order as your subject and reason.
